Great Pond, Windsor Learning by doing is one of my favourite subjects! Think back to the last time you wanted to build a new habit, speak up in a meeting, listen more or behave differently under stress. As you cast your mind back, what did you do to help you prepare? what did you do …
Is it time for you to find a new path?
Sometimes potential clients ask why people look for an Executive Coach. If I imagine flying above the current situation and hover above the many varied and different challenges we face it often comes down to the fact that clients want to find and take a different path. That might be a new way of managing …
Unravelling part 3
Unravel #2 Andrea Benson I think these are perhaps my final thoughts on unravelling as I think it is almost finished with me! If this musing is interesting or provoking, you might want to read part 1 and 2. Unravelling is a time to free from entanglement It seems to me that the stories we …
Inner critic squared
Fractals in nature, Richmond Park 2019 I love/hate this piece 'The four of you' from @justinadamwise. The idea that when you are in conversation with just one other person, there are actually another two characters there. Uninvited characters.... Time to think
For those of you coming back from holiday, ' Busy is not the point' feels like a great blog post from Seth Godin. Many will have heard about the blight of 'busyness' where we almost brag about our 'busyness' as a badge of honour, denoting how important we are and how much we contribute. I …
Unravelling part 1
Unravel #2 Andrea Benson These last few weeks a word keeps going into my mind.... unravelling. I've decided I love that word and the possibilities it offers. I did a straw poll and discovered it's a bit divisive. For some it signals space to think, clarity and new possibilities. For others it signals disintegration, danger …
