Mindfulness and habits…


In taking on leadership roles we often have to build new habits – change how we approach 121s, new ways of engaging larger groups of people, listening more, finding ways to challenge more.  As a very intermittent runner I know how hard new habits can be – not least because it can be pretty tricky to spot what you are doing right now.

I found this Ted talk “A simple way to break a bad habit” seemed to fit with my experience as a coach – helping people be more aware of their own behaviour and habits helps them shift their behaviour.  Thanks to Judson Brewer.
